Hello  Fellow Cello players,

David Evans is holding his Orchestral Music course in Provence again this year.

We are short of cellos. Please come along and play with me.

I went last year and I enjoyed myself so much. The music is very playble. great swimming pool. Loads of laughs.

The Hotellerie Notre Dame de Lumieres is 38 km east of Avignon on the main road to Apt, and is a converted convent with simple, but comfortable accommodation. good food and a swimming pool in a peaceful wooded location.

At lunch time people would eat at one of the cafes across the road,or go  to the village. My friends and I would go to the grocer after breakfast and buy bread, pate, cheese fruit and have a picnic in the garden.

Rehearsals would be in the mornings and late afternoon, leaving the afternoons free for chamber music or visiting the nearby picturesque villages, such as Roussillon, Lacoste. Menerbes and Gordes.

Last year we gave 3 concerts. One in Eglise de Saignon, another at the hotel and the last in the garden of friends of David.

You pay for the

• Eurostar fare,and
• demi pension accommodation   .
• The course is free.    

Last year we paid about £670.
